Pitot Tubes

Flow Measurement

Pitot tubes are used to measure flowrate of fluids based on the difference between the pressure on the upstream side or dynamic pressure of a bluff body and the downstream pressure of it, which is static pressure. Based on the ‘Pitot Tube’ principle of fluid flow measurement, Eratech pitot tubes provide signals in accordance with the measured differential pressure, then a Differential Pressure Transmitter is utilized to produce an electrical signal proportional to the flowrate.

Being easily installed, pitot tubes are appropriate options for harsh environments, high pressures and high temperatures. They are suitable for measuring liquid, gas and steam flowrate. Pitot tubes engineered and manufactured by Eratech follow international standards, some of their features include:

  • High Temperature and High Pressure Tolerance (up to 600 ˚C and 600 bar)
  • Available for Wide Range of Pipe Sizes
  • Low Permanent Pressure Loss
  • Suitable even for not Circular Pipes (Rectangular and etc.)
  • Easy Installation and Low Maintenance Costs
  • High Measurement Accuracy

Eratech pitot tubes are designed and manufactured in Klang, Malaysia intended for use within the technical limit values specified, the equipment is not suitable for multiphase fluids or when the fluid does not completely fill the cross section of the pipe.

This device has a wide variety of application in flow measurement in industries including:

  • Oil and Gas
