Venturi Tubes

Flow Measurement

Based on Law of Conservation of Energy, when a fluid flows through a constricted section, its velocity accelerates, the increment of kinetic energy causes fluid pressure drop. This is the basic principle which all the differential pressure elements rely on and a meter of pressure drop results in the measurement of fluid volumetric flow rate. Venturi tubes are constrictions or throats in fluid conduits, which cause regions of reduced pressure and are designed to use where low pressure-loss is required.

Venturi tubes are manufactured in multiple sizes and designs according to standards and customer requirements. Eratech team provides venturi tubes suitable for measuring flow rate of wide range of liquids, gases and steam with high temperatures and pressures.

Additional to its low permanent pressure drop, venturi tubes are less affected by upstream disturbances and can tolerate multiphase flows.

Some of Eratech venturi tubes’ main characteristics include:

  • Available in a Full Range of Sizes with no Limitation
  • Suitable for Liquids, Gases and Steam
  • Suitable for Multi-phase Streams and Solid Containing Liquid
  •  Tailored with High Temperatures and Pressures
  •  Good Performance Even at High d/D Ratios
  • Designs Available in Wide Range of Materials

Venturi tubes can be manufactured with several connections to best adapt any process flange connection.
